What is Candidate Experience?

Candidate experience is the sum of every interaction an applicant has with your hiring process — application effort, communication speed, interview quality, and whether they receive a decision. It directly affects offer acceptance, employer reputation, and for consumer businesses, customer sentiment.

The most common failures are silence and delay. Applicants who never receive a response, or who wait weeks for a first conversation, disengage and tell others. Both failures are capacity problems: teams go quiet because they cannot process the volume.

Removing the capacity constraint fixes the symptom. When every qualified applicant is interviewed within hours on their own schedule, applicants receive a substantive interaction rather than silence — and get a real decision faster.
